Daytona June 7, 2003 Meeting
Below are the pictures of the meet & greet at Daytona International Speedway. We got off to a late start but got there in time to look over the NBs. We had a pretty nice selection of cars (8) and a great group of people. After a few minutes of talking and pictures we headed across the street to Ruby Tuesday's.The highlight was watching a little girl (about 10) near us try to eat a Colossal burger (triple deck 1lb burger). It was also cool to see a convertible NB cruise the parking lot and check out our 8 bugs parked together. After lunch we headed to the beach.
It was fun again driving down the road and seeing kids play punch buggy. You still get the stares when you have a group of bugs, almost like in 98. Driving on the sand with 8 bugs drew allot of stares from everyone.
Once we got them parked we took pictures, played in the water and chatted some more. After about 30 minutes we re-aligned the bugs at an angle and shot a few more pictures. We then cruised off the beach to a local Publix for drinks.
Thunder showers were approaching so we said our goodbyes and headed home. We did have a mini-caravan back to Orlando with Sheila and her friend in the white NB.
