Our morning started early again, around 4am. We left from Anaheim for Pasadena for the parade at 5:30am. The drive was made even easier by special directions we got from the company that sold us the Grandstand seats. We drove pass all the traffic, parks and caught a shuttle to within a block of our seats. We were seated and ready to go before 7am. It was really great. This was the first Rose Bowl Parade for the whole family, something Naomi and I had been looking forward to for years. The parade was wonderful, we had great seats and the weather was beautiful. We were directly across from the CBS booth right before the turn in the route, which meant we saw both sides of most of the floats. The parade lasted about 2.5 hours and it was well worth getting up before the chickens for the second day in a row. After the parade, our special directions got us back on the freeway without hardly any traffic and on our way.
