We left the Grand Canyon with Crayola (Trish & Thomas) and Paycheck (Jennifer & parents) both on their way home to northern Calif. Our
destination for the day is Las Vegas with the only stop being a tour of the Hoover Dam. It is a short drive for the day, less than 300 miles.
We had a good trip without any problems. The 30 minute tour through the dam was nice, but a little more in-depth tour would be nice, I would recommend
the hour hard hat tour. We then headed for Vegas, through Boulder City, home of Jenni & Mojo.
We got to the Paris and checked in. It is a long walk from the self parking garage, but I guess the clerk saw that and upgraded us to a suite,
which made up for the long walk and then some:) For our $69/night we got a great room, with marble baths, one with a glass shower and the other with
a Jacuzzi tub, a soft King bed, tv, fax, wet bar. And it was really really nice, much better than last year's suite at the MGM Grand. I would highly
recommend the Paris!!!
Judy & Rolland were also staying there, we met up with them and toured a little bit of Vegas. We went to Caesars for dinner, then watched the
statue show in the Forum. That was cool. We then walked over to the Mirage and saw
the Volcano erupt & big fish tank with sharks. We then wandered back to the Paris and went up in the Eiffel Tower just in time to see the midnight
water show at the Bellagio.
Miss seeing all the bugs at R2K, we did pass another NB on the Vegas strip that had a R2K sticker.
