Day 8 of 18
I could barely move my arm today. I want to thank all the NB/OB owners for
parking there cars on the side of the street around the 49 mile trail. Katie must of
slugged me 100 times over the 2 hours we took to drive 40 of the 49 miles and take
pictures. At one point I just asked if she would just slug me once every block and stop
screaming "red/white/black, no punch back". Other than that we had a very
relaxing day. Katie slept until 10, I slept until 8. I realized one problem I am having
sleeping is the 3 hour time difference. My body still thinks it is 3 hours later.
We took in some shopping in SF. FAO Shawartz toy store, where we got a few toys and pix
for the dogs & Star Wars crowd. Went to the WB store and a few more, then headed out
of town after pix of china town entrance and the "windiest road in the world".
We drove down it twice so each of us could drive.
Visited with Cousin Carol & Donny, had some great home cooked lasagna. Talked about
our trip and Blue Eyes, etc.
Stopped in Willow before heading to Redding for the night to meet Kathy and her Citron
Yellow bug, but I guess we were late, we had to refuel anyway so we did not loose too much
time.
Katie is still looking for somewhere to snow board. Any one is Canada see snow lately?
Bill, Wendi?
Katie said I forgot about the oriental Red China dress she bought in Chinatown at Mandarin
Fashions (415) 986-3655. The lady was very helpful & had a good selection of pretty
dresses.
